Barbecue Beef and Cheese Fries

MAKES: 4-6 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound Blackwell Angus ground chuck, 80/20
  • 2 tablespoons diced onions
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 20 ounces frozen french fries

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Follow cooking instructions on the french fries to cook.
  2. Over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef in a skillet or sauté pan until it is brown and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F. Remove ground beef from the pan and drain the fat.
  3. Put the pan back on the heat and cook the onions for a few minutes until tender.
  4. Add meat back to the pan.
  5. Add barbecue sauce to pan and turn the heat to low.
  6. Mix ingredients in pan until all ingredients are warmed up.
  7. Once the french fries are cooked, turn the broiler on in the oven.
  8. On a baking pan or sheet, make a pile of fries and put the barbecue beef over the fries; top with cheese and place under the broiler until the cheese melts.
  9. Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy.
